ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB)- About 40 kids put their best foot forward at ADPRO Sports Training Center in Orchard Park. Children 6-15 years old participated in the NFL Pass, Punt and Kick Buffalo Bills team championship.
The competitors are judged on the distance and accuracy of their pass, punt and kick.
They had to compete in local and sectional championships to make it to this competition. The top scorer in each of five age groups becomes eligible for the National Championships in Orlando, Fl.
“Punt, pass and kick is one of the longest running youth programs in the country,” said Preston Teague, communication director for the Bills. “We’re very proud of this initiative. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the kids today. After they compete, they’re going to have an opportunity to meet Shaq Lawson, take some pictures and then tomorrow they’re going to lead the team out on the field in stampede row.”
The Bills take on the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at New Era Field.
